I cannot recommend this class and Aseel as a teacher highly enough. Even a year after I took this class, I remember what I learned, and I feel like I can hold a meaningful conversation in Arabic with strangers. The full immersion of the course made all the difference, and that is a testament to the teachers’ ability to teach students as they learn a new language, in that language the students are just learning. Aseel was an incredible teacher, fully invested in her students and pushing them to get the most out of their education. I felt like I could ask her any question or reach out for more help, and when we had routine check ins her feedback was specific and helpful, and I know she paid attention to the progress of each student. She also spent so much of her own time practicing with me for the OPI and I appreciated that a lot, and I know it made a huge difference on my ultimate test score.

I have been learning Arabic for the better part of seven years, both full-time and part-time. During those seven years, I encountered all kinds of pedagogies, and many of them never forced me to fully engage with the language so that I could actually use it when needed. However, when I started working with Ines, she helped me develop my proficiency through real-world exercises, which helped me progress several ACTFL sub-levels in half the time. I've learned languages with several teachers before in my life but Enas is by far the best teacher. Not only are her teaching skills professional and amazing but she also manages to motivate me to study more every time we have class. It is because of her that I fell in love with the arabic language and I look forward to every single class we have. Since I work full time on working days we have class after work but it never feels like it is too much. Every class is a lot of fun und studying with Enas feels super easy. I made a lot of progress over the past two years and that is because Enas is always prepared and organized, creates individual content for every class and uses creative methods to teach the language.
